Litters: 1 (this is her first litter)

Dam to our upcomming litter is RL1 RL2 Adoreas Ridged Kila! She is after my dear Farah, so this a special litter for me. Kila is a «working Ridgeback». She competes in several dog sports as you can see further up under «Results». She is active outside, but calm and cuddeling inside. She is a very pleasant dog. When Nestor (6 months old then, so not yet interested in Kila’s heat) and me brought her along to Sweden in January for the date with Goliat, I was really impressed how easy-going she was travelling with. We arrived at the small Bed & Breakfast late at night, and we all vent to sleep pretty short time after arriving. When we woke up, all the other visitors at the B&B had left, but the dogs hadn’t make a sound. Just slept throught all the noise from the other rooms and the hallway. Good dogs! And she continued to impress me throughout the trip. Kila and our bitch Madonna were best friends from first meeting. We look forward to having Kila over for puppies in 9 weeks!

I’m so proud over what Kila and co-owner Julie have achieved. Competing in so many dog sports. Kila has been on several Winner Lists in different disciplines in the Norwgian Ridgeback Club in 2020, 2021 and 2022 (she was born in 2019). They are the DreamTeam! Kila is their first Ridgeback.

I asked Co-owner Julie to write som words about Kila:
«Kila has always been one of the more active Ridgebacks. She has shown herself to be the type who wants to work, and has a good willingness to cooperate (when she wants to). She has a strong herd instinct, and loves to be where we are. She can follow us anywhere. She is safe, stable and independent. Good with everything and everyone, shy of conflict and with a «hard/tough» head. Very fond of children.
It’s hard to describe Kila in few words. She is one-of-a-kind!! My therapy dog, my best friend, shows so much care and understanding. She is definitely a dog I need in my life! She gives me so much support and security. A worry-free dog life I didn’t know was possible to have. And that says it all!»

Sire to our upcomming litter is the famous SE JW-18, NORD JW-18, NORD W-18, FIN W-19, HELSINKI W-19, NORDIC SHOW CH, NORD UCH, SE UCH, DK UCH, FI UCH, NUCH Skallbjörnens Goliat Lejonhjärta.
I have had my eyes on Goliat from he was a puppy, and I have followed his and Lisa’s journey with great interest. They have rocked the show rings and I remember beeing ringside when he took the Nordic Junior Winner title in 2018. Handsome then, and handsome now. He really has the «it-factor»!
Goliat is now 5 years old and has been healthy and vital all his life.
Goliat’s pedigree contains of so many dogs that I love!

Owner Lisa about Goliat:
«He is a joy to have in my house, always happy, has not a bad bone in his body and nothing faces him, being very self-assured. When he was 18 months he was mental-tested with the Swedish scheme BPH (Behaviour and Personality Assesment) and I was so pleased to see how he solved all the tasks given.

Goliat is the kindest and happiest boy and always willing to show his love! He is always choosing joy and playing, but that was life is about, isn’t it?!

I have never had a dog that is so positive, willing to please and gracious, which he also shows in the ring. He loves to show off in the ring and always doing his best for me, even after hours of waiting before entering the groups. We can rest at home, he says …

He loves all sort of training and we have tried agility, tracking and Nose Work, but we are not competing … yet!

He loves running loose in the forest, which we are able to do every day, living close. As he is very obedient and I can have him off the lead in the forest without worrying about him running away after wild stock. Many have asked me how he can be so fit, and this is the answer. No exercise can beat running and jumping over fallen trees and uneven ground. It also gives me a good training!

To be able to live with Goliat makes my life to a pleasure, sharing his positive energy with me.»

This will be Golat’s first litter in Norway, and I’m honoured that it’s at Adorea! His influence on his puppies is very strong. Not only with his super construction and amazing movements, but also with his kind and friendly attitude.
You can find lot’s of info and pictures of Goliat at his homepage.
A big thank you to Lisa, for letting us use handsome Goliat!

In every litter there can be born puppies that are not potential showdogs. They can have an extra crown in their ridge, they can have a kinked tail or they can be born without a ridge. They are as good as any, and we always seek non-show homes!

All the puppies shall have names that start with «O». The puppy buyers decide the name, and we want the «O-name» to be their everyday name.

The pup`s first 8 weeks here at Kennel Adorea

We put a lot of effort in socializing the puppies. They will meet all kind of people in all ages and sizes. Meet different dogs and perhaps some other animals. They will also drive a lot of car so they will be confident with that on their journey to their new home.

The first 2 weeks the pups will live in a puppy pen in a quiet room. When they turn 2 weeks they will move to my home office (the. They will experience lots of things and sounds in the house. When they are 6 weeks old we will start to drive car with the pups, and later go on adventurous trips with the pups. They will also spend a lot of time outside exploring lots of things, sounds and places. Our 3 kids will handle the pups from the beginning to their aparture. It’s so important that they get socialized!

The puppies will be delivered with: NKK`s (Norwegian Kennel Club) buyers contract, pedigree, veterinary certification, dewormed, implanted ID tag, lots of info, puppy gifts, dog food, as well as follow ups/contact with us as long as the dog lives.

Kennel Adorea decide when the pups are around 7 weeks old who’s going to witch home. To help us make that choice easier, we have to know what you have planned to do with your dog.

You can follow their everyday life from the birth up to delivery in a album at Facebook. Here is the puppy blog from one of our last litters. I hope the buyers will send many pictures and information about their pups growing up.

Requirements for Adorean puppy buyers

Kennel Adorea only sell puppies to active people who have thought carefully trough what it means to have a Ridgeback. The Ridgeback is a dog that deserves to be activated, and they will then be a more harmonious dog.
You must be able to take a holyday or have the opportunity to bring your puppy to work the first time after delivery. The next few months you also must have arranged so that the puppy will not be home alone all day.
You must check if anyone in the family are allergic before you even consider to buy a puppy.
You must have time to activate and socialize your puppy so it gets the best conditions in life.
You must afford to give the dog quality food, equipment, dog courses, vet visits, vaccinations and insurance.
You must x-ray the dog for HD and AA at approx. 12- 18 months of age, and bring the dog to the vet when he needs it.
You must give the dog a good, caring, active and permanent home. The dog must become a part of the family.
I also want to meet you before deciding whether you get a puppy. Both you and I must feel that it’s okay since we will be in touch for many years to come. Do you live very far north or abroad, we can use references.
If you are on many puppy lists I would appreciate if you keep me informed about it, and let me know if you buy another puppy.
