When I first saw the pics of Argos on the internet I knew right away that this is the perfect match for Mea!
I started to search for info about this outstanding male and the more pics I saw, and the more info I got about his wonderful temperament, the more I knew that this is the Mr Right! His owners have been so kind sending me pictures and lots of info for quite a while now..

Mea started her season in Dec 2010, long before expected, so I hadn't time to get his frozen semen to Norway. Luckily there were some dozes in Finland, and off we went. Due to slow Christmas Mail, so the blood sample (progesterone) couldn't reach the lab in time, and that there were weekend and no new blood sample could be taken before Monday in Finland (and then is was to late), and that Mea's progesterone level increased more than normal, it was no pups this time. But Argos and Mea is absolutely worth waiting for! :-)

Mea is a well built, harmonious bitch with a lovely head and expression. She has several BOB-puppy placements, a BIS3 puppy placement, several CQ and best bitch placements, two CAC and BOB and a BIG3 placement.
The best thing she knows is to run in the forest. Field tracking is also a favourite.

Mea is the sweetest dog! She is so kind! She is not used with children, but she loves them. She can walk to a stroller an start to kiss the little kid. Parents with kids that are afraid of dogs let them meet Mea. She is so calm and gentle.
Here are some pics of her in the puppypen giving her pups food while some kids that she didn't knew paid us a visit. She is not used to cats either, but she loves them! And her puppies! She is the best dog mum I ever seen. She is made for that task! And when she now meet her first litter, she is thrilled! She plays with them and show us that she enjoys to meet them again. I haven't experienced it to such an extent with other females. And when I have Toller litters she is the best play auntie! Here she is only 10 weeks old, and so gentle and careful. Here she is 1,5 years and still careful.

Mea is an easy dog to live with, and she has always been healthy. She comes from a litter where it is both exhibition champions and a bloodtrack champion.
Mea had her first litter in July 2009, and they are so far healthy and are wonderful companion to their owners. They also show a lot of promise. Kennel Adorea kept Arwen from this litter, and besides from getting several CQ's and a 2nd Best Bitch placement from junior class, she
became Nordic Junior Winner 2010. One of the males, Alhwin, has so far gained a BIS3 puppy placement, and one CAC and BOS from junior class.

Argos is a medium sized dog, with good bone, beautiful front, good angulations, beautiful topline, very nice tail set and with awesome movements! The more that I look at him, the more I think that he complete Mea.

Here is how his "mum" Kirsi describes him: "Argos is a true gentleman!!! He has a temperament to die for! In any breed's standard! He is my soul-dog, my baby, my guardian, my once-in-a-lifetime dog!! He has done everything he could have in his show-career - he loves showing and that is why he has been showing for almost 5 years now!! He has been #1 ridgeback in Canada 3 years in a row (the first year that he just turned one in October he was #2!!!) - this year we have taken him to SEVEN shows and he is #2 ridgeback in Canada!! He was top-20 in US last year with very limited showing down there too! He has 4 all breed Best in Shows and he has won Hound specialty twice - he has earned more points then any other Ridgeback in the breed history in Canada! But as I said - his best feature, after all these, is still his temperament! ANYONE that has ever met him is telling the same!! I am starting a therapy dog course with him soon - that is his calling! In a big show this fall there were lots of handicapped people that had come to see dogs - we would walk to all kinds of different people and they got to pet him - their care-takers advised me to get him into the therapy-dog program because he was so natural! With other dogs - Lance's 3-year old son can walk him in a show!!! In fact he could be free and if I didn't have to worry about other dogs attacking him or bitches in season, he would never need a leash around other dogs"

Not long after this Kirsi wrote this: "Argos was tested for his suitability to be a registered Therapy-dog. He is now St. John's Ambulance registered Therapy Dog!!  This is required by all the facilities where dogs can go and work as therapy-dogs. This is a demanding 2-hour test that tests the dog's temperament - they have to get along well and be calm toward other dogs, they are not to be afraid of sudden loud noises and movements, they have to be calm around people that have involuntary movements and can make funny noises. The test is testing a lot of real-life situations that can happen in group-homes and hospitals that the dog is going to visit. Argos passed with flying colors - there was not even one test that he didn't pass without any doubt!"

I asked Kirsi what his other titles means and got this answer: "Am JC and CGC, both are American titles - CGC (Canine Good Citizen) is same as CGN in Canada but we did the temperament test in both countries! JC is coursing certificate, VC is our Canadian Ridgeback club title, it is Versatility Companion, meaning that he has 3 titles (Ch, JC, CGC)."

The litter's pedigree would include some of the most winning Ridgebacks in Scandinavia, Europa and the US.
Mea’s mom is the wonderful
SvCh Int Ch NordCh DKCh PlCh NordJV-03 EUW-05-06 SV-05 NV-06 NORDV-06-08 Rex Ventors Helinn. Behind her is also the well-known mulitchampion Bear Star Diamond Willow from Australia and MultAT SCCP Int Lux Ch Chipangali´s Kadani. Argos dad is the stunning Am Ch Jubalees Lonestar Over Kei River, JC. He was #1 stud dog in US in 2008.

This will be an extremely exciting combination and hopefully Argos and Mea will pass on their good temperament and exterior to their puppies!

Mea gave birth to 4 puppies the 29th of November 2011. 2 girls and 2 boys. 3 correct. 1 boy with multi crown and DS, so he was put to sleep due to the DS right after birth. Follow them in the puppy blog HERE!
All puppies have new homes.

Requirements for Adorean puppy buyers:
Kennel Adorea only sell puppies to active people who have thought carefully trough what it means to have a Ridgeback. The Ridgeback is a dog that deserves to be activated, and they will then be a more harmonious dog.
You must be able to take a holyday or have the opportunity to bring your puppy to work the first time after delivery. The next few months you also must have arranged so that the puppy will not be home alone all day.
You must check if anyone in the family are allergic before you even consider to buy a puppy.
You must have time to activate and socialize your puppy so it gets the best conditions in life.
You must afford to give the dog quality food, equipment, dog courses, vet visits, vaccinations and insurance.
You must x-ray the dog for HD and AA at approx. 18 months of age, and bring the dog to the vet when he needs it.
You must give the dog a good, caring, active and permanent home. The dog must become a part of the family.
I also want to meet you before deciding whether you get a puppy. Both you and I must feel that it's okay since we will be in touch for many years to come. Do you live very far north or abroad, we can use references.

If you are on many puppy lists I would appreciate if you keep me informed about it, and let me know if you buy another puppy.
We never know how many puppies there are, so nobody gets promise of a puppy before they are born.

We put a lot of effort in socializing the puppies. They will meet all kind of people in all ages and sizes. Meet different dogs and other animals. Drive a lot of car so they will be confident with that on their journey to their new home.
The first 3 weeks the pups will live in a puppy pen in a quiet room. When they turn 3 weeks they will move to the living room and we will start to welcome visitors. They will experience lots of things and sounds in the house. When they are 5 weeks old we will start to drive car with the pups, and later go on adventurous trips with the pups. They will also spend a lot of time outside exploring lots of things, sounds and places. It's so important that they get socialized!

The puppies will be delivered with: NKK`s (Norwegian Kennel Club) buyers contract, pedigree, veterinary certification, dewormed 4 times, implanted ID tag, lots of info, as well as follow ups/contact with us as long as the dog lives.

Every pup will get their own page here on Kennel Adorea, and you can follow their everyday life from the birth up to delivery in a puppy blog. Here is the puppy blog from our last litter. I hope the buyers will send many pictures and information about their pups growing up.

The sire that we have chosen has had ridgeless puppies in previous litters, and they are equally valued and loved pets as their littermates that have the ridge. We have chosen the sire because of his health, temperament and comformation. If we get ridgeless puppies in this litter, I am committed finding them homes that value them just  as much as the puppies that have the ridge.

If you are interested in a pup from Kennel Adorea, send us an e-mail where you tell all about yourself (all the family members), and just why you want a Rhodesian Ridgeback!

Kennel Adorea want to keep a female and a male puppy from this combination out on breeders terms/co-ownership. Read more HERE.
