- The kennel -

The breeder name ”Adorea” is the Latin word for ”victory” and ”triumph”. It must be a victory for every pup that is born. Kennel Adorea consists of me, Gunn Tove, and the three dogs that I have at home; Kimba, Troja and Mea. And three dog living on breeding terms; Azanto, Alpha and Anwen Iola. We live in Arendal in the southern part of Norway. We are lucky to live close to walking terrain and bathing waters for my dogs.
At the moment I have only got plans for breeding the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. With time maybe there also will be Rhodesian Ridgeback litters under the same kennel name. It remains to be seen how Troja develops, she`s still very childish.
I got my first dog, Kimba, in 2003 and went completely dog-mad, reading everything about dogs and using all my leisure time on my dogs. They are always with me, to work, visiting friends etc. We train obedience, agility, tracking and retrieving. I also frequent dog shows. It`s always good to get the judges point of view regarding my dogs, as well as the social part and I always learn something new.
I think it`s important to be humble being a breeder. One must be able to see the weaknesses and not only focus/inform about the positive sides. I also think it`s very important to be open regarding breeding. Being open is uttermost important if the breed shall improve or not.
The first Adorea litter was born 27.04.2006. The next litter are planned summer 2007.
